The right instructions at the right time are crucial to fulfilling all you and I have been called to do in this life. This past weekend in Australia we have celebrated the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. His sacrifice for all humanity set us free from the curse of sin and death and through His resurrection we are promised eternal life. We have also honoured the sacrifice made by countless soldiers who fought to defend the freedom our nation was founded upon. The ANZACS became legendary in WW1 for taking on against all odds an enemy that far out numbered them. But in too many situations bad decisions by ill informed military commanders sent loyal young men to their deaths. War is horrific and senseless, but it is a reality of our fallen human condition without Christ as our leader. Without Him we are destined to defeat. I love the obedience in these verses after Christ’s resurrection.
The women at the empty tomb took the instruction of an Angel. They did not hesitate, they obeyed. Then they met the risen Jesus!!! He gave them instruction and they obeyed.
The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.” Matthew 28:5-10
Then Jesus gave the ultimate instruction to all who believe in Him. You and I can take full confidence that when He is our commander in chief His orders will never lead us to defeat but great victory.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
Let us never become tired of the instructions and leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Let’s live like the ANZACS willing to lay down our lives for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.. Jesus Christ.
Thanks for your friendship and prayers.
Godspeed,

If you truly want to live…. give Jesus all your life..
Live it out on volume 10.
After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began. John 17: 1- 5
As we remember the great sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us on the Cross, let us not become weary or complacent to fight the good fight He called us to. Easter is more about public holidays and chocolate eggs these days but I look out at the madness of the world we are living in. Nations rage at war, corrupt political leaders, global economies collapsing, famines and catastrophe abound. Yet we are simply called to fulfil what Jesus asked us to do. In obedience and faithfulness He went to a criminals Cross to win back what sin had taken dominion over. John 17 is the longest prayer Jesus prayed in the Bible. He knew what He was here for and He got the job done. I love that! He lived out loud and never held back! He gave it all for us!!
As you celebrate Easter this week thank Him for all He has done and for what He can do as He is glorified in your life.
But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. Hebrew 9:26-28
Live out loud!!
Thanks for your friendship and prayers.
Godspeed,
