The power of God in our lives

These words are well worth reading a few times and meditating on:

“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God”.  Ephesians 3:16-19.

Just when you think you have it all worked out….. you don’t. You never will. Just trying to comprehend the God of all creation taking an interest in you and me. Loving us despite who we are, yet longing to fill our inner being with the glorious riches of His power!!! Longing to fill us to the measure of all the fullness of God…. Too much for this scruffy motorcycle riding, Gospel singing truck driver!!

But friends… that is God’s heart. He loves us enough not to leave us where we are, to forgive us no matter what we’ve done and to empower us for His good works. As we near the end of another year on the calendar let’s be mindful that we serve a God of unlimited resources and power. Nothing is impossible for those who serve the Lord Jesus. His power is in us and He wants us to dream big dreams and believe for great vision for the days ahead.

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has planned in advance for us to do. Eph 2: 10
