img_1961Frank Sinatra once said:

“If you own something you cannot give away you do not possess it… it possesses you”

For all of his great success and fame, and despite some of his short comings Frank Sinatra was always known as a very generous man. He loved to give to people. I like that. There is so much truth in the principle of God’s word that says, “it is more blessed to give than to receive”.

The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you.” I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12: 1-3

In obedience Abram trusted God and he applied this principle of generosity to his life from that time on. He became the father of nations and a blessing to multitudes. The promise that God gave to him way back then is still a promise to you and me today if we have faith to believe. Because of his forgiveness and full acceptance that comes to us through all that Jesus did for us on the Cross we have been grafted into the family tree of Abraham and the promises God gave to him. He always chose to live by this amazing covenant. Be a blessing to the Lord and to people and you will be blessed in your life. That’s the truth.

My oldest son Cheyne and I are traveling at the moment through a number of States in America, plus a quick visit to see family in Canada this week. We’re already missing home but we have been so encouraged by the many acts of generosity we have already experienced on the journey. We’re also very grateful for the constant prayers from faithful friends who take the time to pray for the ministry.

Thanks again for your partnership.

Godspeed,
