Every week we experience answered prayer through the Prayer Points email. This page began when Kerrie started sending out a weekly update to a small handful of friends who wanted to keep in touch with her and her crazy husband. I wish I could take credit for it but it has been my beautiful wife who has diligently mailed the Prayer Points out every Monday.
We know that you get a lot of emails. So I want to say thanks for receiving these weekly updates and taking time to read them. Thanks for praying with us on issues the Lord may lay on your heart and for many of you…
Thanks for sharing in the journey. Some weeks it’s like the Lord has already answered the prayer need before we have even had time to send out the need! That amazes us constantly. We assure you we will do our best to honour the Lord with everything He provides for the ongoing ministry. Our dream is that some of you will be able to come and experience a missions adventure at some stage. I sure hope to be serving in this work for at least the next 35 years!!
I’m reminded of an old Testament hero of mine. Caleb. He was one of the men Moses could always depend on. A valiant soldier, a maverick, a mighty man of war. A trusted friend of Joshua. At 85 years of age when asked if he would like some nice plot of flat farming land to retire on after decades of fighting for the armies of Israel he refused. He knew he was born for the bush, for the tough places, for the roads less traveled. He spoke these words,
“As yet I am as strong this day as the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. Now therefore.. give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day; For you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the Lord will be with me and I shall drive them out as the Lord said”. And Joshua blessed him and gave Hebron to Caleb as an inheritance. Joshua 14: 11- 13
Don’t ever back down from the promises God has given you. Don’t compromise conviction and character for comfort and convenience. Keep fighting the good fight, no matter how big the enemy and the attacks may be.
Thanks for you love and prayers.
Godspeed,
