When half the population of the capital city turns up to hear some good Bible teaching and worship the Lord together, you just know that God is at work in a nation.
Last Sunday night there was such an awe inspiring presence of the Lord over Port Moresby. Multitudes of people came. It was an estimated crowd of 400,000. The largest gathering for a Christian event in PNG’s history.

The organizers and the police were overwhelmed by the magnitude of people arriving in the afternoon yet there were no incidents throughout the entire 3 day event. People came with a great expectation and hunger. Jordan and I had the honour of doing a 30 minute set to start each event, then Darlene Zschech and the Hillsong Band lead worship each night followed by a message from Joyce Meyer. Her Bible based practical preaching was warmly received by the PNG people. Thousands made decisions to live for Christ each night and everyone who attended received a small booklet called “A new way of living”. 
It was like witnessing a phenomenon.

Medical teams from Australia and the USA treated 4,300 people in many rural districts and even through that work over 1,000 of those receiving help committed their lives to the Lord. Every prison in the nation was visited and many came to Christ.

The Port Moresby events were transmitted ‘live’ on three radio networks across the country and the final night was also telecast on the only national TV network.
In the coming weeks we will bring you some updates as we hear of the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in PNG. All we know is we are going back!!! 
God has His hand on this little nation and there is so much more to do. But we praise the Lord for the miracles that have taken place.
