img_1020Two of the great joys of serving the Lord is the places you go to and the people you meet. If you are prepared to go anywhere and share Jesus with anyone, it will happen, many many times. God calls us to reach millions but never lose our love and concern for the ‘One’.

10 days ago I was singing gospel songs in the western desert dust around a campfire, with an acoustic guitar and Bible - and just a few days ago I was singing ‘The Great Southland’ with the Hillsong Band at the Australian Christian Churches National Conference on the Gold Coast, in a fancy big convention centre. It was such an honour. But the Lord constantly reminds me to be available to serve in the forgotten places, not just the famous places. To reach the lost, the poor and the oppressed, to care for the widow and the orphan. That is our real calling.

Jesus said, “The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor, to proclaim freedom to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, release for the oppressed, and to proclaim the year of God’s favour”. Luke 4:18.

Thanks for your partnership. Pray with us as we map out the remaining months of 2009. There are ministry tours to the Outback, Papua New Guinea, the USA and to many Australian Country Towns on the calendar.

Godspeed,
