This is a follow up from Maryanne’s Mission trip to Russia and Israel in Feb/March ’09.

Hi guys,

I would like to thank you all for your prayers. What miracles God chose to bestow as we stepped out in faith!

My recommendation to all of you is to Go where God is sending you.  Maybe just step out in faith with this crazy brother, Steve Grace, for God’s hand is on him mightily! 

I Praise the Lord to have been given the privilege of sharing testimony to so many Russian women, who have been under such great persecution as  believers in this dark world.  The testimony of my alcoholic dad coming to Jesus after 30 years of turmoil and persecution in my life greatly encouraged these women, as many live this life daily in Russia.  I found my shoulders wet with their tears which I will cherish forever.   God is faithful!

Specifically, I praise God for Anna, an orphan with a horrific past of sexual and physical abuse, in which she had only recently experienced the night mare of her brother murdering her natural mother.  Anna gave her life to the Lord!

I praise God for Tonya, who didn’t think she could make it through another night in her depression.  Tonya was set free.  God specializes in spiritual healing, as many of these young women have had pasts of sexual abuse, multiple abortions, incest lined with alcohol and drug abuse.

I praise the Lord to be able to bring God’s Word and His love to these special women and to be part of the  planting of such amazing and beautiful new churches!

I praise God for the privilege of participating in the beginnings of bringing Jesus into the Russian orphanages.  God now has opened the doors for Bible study and prayer for the children plus we have a link now to God’s people in the new churches of Russia to become more involved.  My heart has been for the young girls as they have been ripe for the taking in sexual abuse and human sex trafficking with the Russian Mafia. 

That brought us to Tel Aviv, Israel.  I was grieved when I became aware of the enormous amount of prostitution of Russian girls in Israel!   How could this be?  God’s Holy land filled with such abomination of sin!

 God opened the door for myself, and 22 other American women with hearts for these girls to gather, minister, encourage, comfort, and pray.  To be given the opportunity of being God’s arms to hold them and God’s feet to carry them away was the most amazing thing I could ever do on this earth.

Many praises to Our Amazing God!  

Prostitutes were set free.  The Gospel was given to the poor. Russians, Jews, Arabs, Palestinians were all ministered to in their own languages.

Five men, who were staying in the Hostel, where we stayed came to Jesus.  Two young girls in the Israeli army came to Jesus and one young man who had felt he never could be forgiven, as he had been devastated by the killings of war was shown the love of God through Jesus Christ.

We praised the Lord in song, in deed, in Word and we prayed over the entire area which consisted of some of the ugliest hell holes a human being could ever imagine!  There are 200 brothels filled with the pain, sickness, hopelessness and despair. 

But the greatest miracle happened the day I returned home.  The headlines of the Jerusalem Post read, “Alleged Human Traffickers ring exposed”.

God fights our battles in the Heavenlies!  God exposed the sin of the human sex trafficking of our Russian girls for all the world to see!
